Drug & Alcohol Programs(pt 99)

Our teams are experts in policy development and implementation for drug and alcohol programs for airlines, in particular in meeting regulatory requirements. We are skilled in new policy development or review of policies, often required every five years by regulators, as well as assisting with Union and workforce negotiations. We are able to provide guidance on testing programs and develop education programs for supervisors and employees.

Policy & Procedures

We are experts in the development and review of airline policies, procedures and manuals for aviation health programs. We are able to assist with review of existing policies and procedures, making recommendations for changes and subsequent manual changes. We are able to develop policy, procedures and protocols for new programs.

Education

We are skilled educators, who are able to audit existing training & education programs, or develop new programs. Our team are able to assist with selection of medical equipment for aircraft, be it defibrillators or telemedicine devices. We have partnered with some of aviation’s most innovative and technology based solutions to help you manage inflight medical events.

Emergency medical kits

Ensuring that onboard emergency medical kits are kept updated with the latest medical equipment and pharmaceuticals is essential. Our service ensures that your kits are equipped with the latest most effective and complete range of medications and clinical interventions to be used during an inflight medical event. We have a team of emergency medicine and aeromedical retrieval doctors who provide information based on best practice for use in the airline setting. Our kits are modular based and clearly labelled for quick reference for medical volunteers and crew use. We are able to provide refurbishment services to all airlines within Australia providing a team of pharmaceutical professionals to meet regulatory requirements.

Medical provider partner

We can assist with the selection and implementation of a ground based medical provider to assist with refining protocols and procedures to meet the changing needs of the airline, including review of medical diversions and inflight medical events. Our team has extensive experience in managing ground based medical providers in large commercial airlines and has worked with the various providers in the market.
